Undergraduate student commencement ceremonies for Georgia Tech are set for the morning and afternoon of May 7 in McCamish Pavilion. Co-owner of the WNBA Atlanta Dream women’s basketball team, Mary Rockett Brock, will be the morning keynote speaker. Pictured above, Penny Pritzker, the 38th Secretary of Commerce will address students during the afternoon ceremony. More than 2,000 will receive bachelor’s degrees, and 900 master’s degrees and 180 doctorates will be awarded during the three ceremonies.

During its May 14 commencement ceremony, Oglethorpe University will bestow the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters onDerreck Kayongo, chief executive officer of The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, who will address the graduating class. Kayongo founded the Global Soap Project which takes partially used soap from hotels, recycles them, and redistributes the soap to vulnerable populations around the world. The commencement ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the campus’ academic quadrangle.
