UPDATE: Man shot to death outside DeKalb apartment ID’d

A man was shot and killed early Friday morning outside a DeKalb County apartment complex.

According to DeKalb police, the shooter came up to a car outside the Waterford Manor apartments in the 4000 block of Covington Highway and tried to rob Adrian Anderson, 37.

He was standing outside the car with another man just after 3 a.m. when the shooter approached, DeKalb Lt. Lonzy Robertson said. 

“There was a struggle and shots were fired,” killing Anderson, according to Robertson. 

He was shot multiple times and died on the scene. 

The shooter remains at large. Police have not given a description.
