Two U.S. Army staff sergeants from Fort Benning were arrested early Sunday in Columbus in an apparent drug deal gone bad, police said.
Randall Glahn, 28, and Toby Longoria Jr., 32, each were charged with strong-arm robbery and possession of cocaine, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported.
Strong-arm robbery is committed with the use of physical force but no weapon, the newspaper reported.
Another man, Antonio Sadler, 44, is accused of selling 1.4 grams of cocaine to the soldiers, police said. After an altercation, Sadler was taken to a hospital.
Glahn and Longoria are accused of taking Sadler’s wallet, $60 and a cellphone, according to the report.
