Motorcyclist dies after crash with cement truck in Clayton County

A motorcyclist who was on life support after an accident involving a cement truck in Clayton County last week has died, police confirmed.

Eugene Joshua “Josh” Huff Jr., 30, became pinned under the cement truck at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Tara Road, authorities said. He died Friday afternoon at Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was taken after the Dec. 19 crash, his stepdaughter Abygail Foskey told AJC.com.

She said Huff was a “good, hard-working, God-fearing, county man” who had a 9-year-old son. His wife, Cori Huff, is an emergency room nurse at Grady, and Foskey said the hospital’s “staff has been absolutely amazing” during her stepfather’s treatment.

Foskey said Huff “made the decision to be an organ donor, so his last deed on this Earth is going to be an amazing one. Someone’s mama is getting a heart for Christmas.”

Clayton County police didn’t provide any further details on the cause of the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
