An emergency room patient is accused of assaulting nurses and threatening officers at a Cobb County hospital, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Sheila Jahn, 57, of Marietta, faces seven charges after allegedly attacking people at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Channel 2 reported.
Marietta police told the news station that Jahn struck a nurse and tried to kick her while she was checking Jahn’s vital signs Aug. 23.
A police report obtained by Channel 2 said hospital staff was attempting to “work on getting her medication for her pain.” After she allegedly began attacking, police arrived and asked Jahn to leave, but she refused, the report said.
The arresting officer told the news station Jahn said I’d “hurt you so bad it would be criminal” when she was being detained.
Police said they found less than an ounce of marijuana hidden in a prescription bottle belonging to Jahn, but hospital staff couldn’t confirm whether she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the alleged attack, Channel 2 reported.
She remains at the Cobb County Jail on a $7,000 bond, records show.
