Passion releases CD from Christian-based conference

Passion will release a live album based on music from the Christian-based conference, which was held in Atlanta in January.

Worthy of Your Name,” will be available digitally on Feb. 17 with the physical CD coming out on March 24.

The project will feature 11 live songs, recorded at Passion 2017 .

It will include additional studio versions of “This We Know, featuring Kristian Stanfill and “Worthy of Your Name, featuring Sean Curran.

More than 50,000 people, ranging in age from 18 to 25, packed the Georgia Dome last month where they prayed, sang along with artists like Christy Nockles and Matt Redman and listened to prominent Christian thought leaders like John Piper, and Katherine and Jay Wolf.

Attendees were treated to a surprise performance by Carrie Underwood, who performed with Crowder, and then did a solo performance of the award-winning “Something in the Water.”

The conference, which grew out of a Bible study started in Texas two decades ago by Louie and Shelley Giglio as a way to reach college students and their leaders interested in a deeper understanding of Christianity and God.

The CD will include performances by Passion (led by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone), Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels and Hillsong UNITED.

The digital version will feature a video of “Beacon” by Jimi Cravity.
