Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade larger than life

Macy's hosts its 82nd annual Thanksgiving Day parade in Manhattan, NY.

Georgia Tech's band helped celebrate its 100th anniversary by marching in the 82nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Millions lined the parade route in New York to take in the sights. Millions more watched from home as part of their holiday tradition.

The annual parade also provides a coveted yearly spotlight for Broadway productions. Above, the cast of "The Little Mermaid' performs. Other casts scheduled to perform included "Hair," "In the Heights," "South Pacific" and "Irving Berlin's White Christmas."
