Name: Stephanie Lewis
Age: 44
Occupation: Mother of a 10-year-old daughter. Former resale/consignment boutique owner, currently working as administrative assistant in Biology Department at Georgia State.
Neighborhood: Lithonia
Collectibles: I have been obsessed with Emilio Pucci since my very first purchase at Stefan’s Vintage in the mid-'90s. My collection includes several silk jersey dresses, sunglasses, clutch purse, rhinestone earrings and an out-of-print book.
Signature style: “Thrifty Glam.” I love adding a touch of pizzaz by mixing trendy, modern pieces with eye-popping vintage classics.
Best find: My huge vintage alligator bag that I got from Finders Keepers for $100.
A weakness: Accessories, because they can transform any outfit. One time I purchased a tattered vintage dress for $5 exclusively for the buttons and rhinestone trimming. I wear the rhinestone trim as a tie necklace.
A fashion pet peeve: People that feel like they have to wear designer labels and logos from head to toe in order to look and feel fabulous. Mixing old with new makes any wardrobe more interesting ... plus it’s green!
Favorite stores: Finders Keepers Consignment Shop, Stefan’s Vintage Store, Rag-O-Rama and Goodwill thrift stores.
Biggest splurge: My [entire] vintage Emilio Pucci collection.
Favorite labels: Since vintage is my first love due to quality, timeless style & workmanship, I don’t necessarily buy strictly for labels. I buy items that have major character, quality and eye appeal.
Atlanta style is: Atlanta’s style has become very eclectic due to the many transplants. People seem to feel more free to express themselves through their personal style
