It's wet and icky out there, and it looks like that might be the case for a while. The forecast calls for rain, rain and more rain.

That’s just beginning to translate into cancellations or postponements for some outdoor events coming up this weekend.

Funk Fest at Wolf Creek Amphitheater isn't canceled, but has made some major changes to avoid a possible weather nightmare on Friday. The fest is moving Friday's scheduled performers into slots on Saturday and Sunday. You'll find the updated lineup at the festival's website. You'll also find details about ticket price adjustments and refunds there.

The SOS Music Festival, and old-school hip-hop fest with the Sugarhill Gang and Kool Moe Dee, was originally set for Saturday, May 19, at the Bowl @ Sugar Hill. That show is moving to June 9. Tickets and more info available here.

Wednesday night’s Food Truck Roundup at Brookhaven’s Blackburn Park has been canceled for May 16, and the Thursday, May 17, Town Hall with Mayor John Ernst has been moved to 6 p.m. at City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road in Brookhaven.

Other events will go on as scheduled.

The Kirkwood Spring Fling, for example, answered our query about the weather possibly putting a damper on things this way. “This is a rain or shine event. As they say ‘The Show must go on!’.”

The Georgia Renaissance Festival offered the same reassurance that they are a rain or shine proposition. The jousting and turkey legs won’t stop for a bit of wet stuff.

The Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival’s organizers say that “[t]he festival will go on rain or shine! The wine garden is covered and there will be some covered areas by the Jazz pavilion.” But they do offer a little suggestion: “Bring an umbrella.”

If we do hear about any cancellations, we’ll let you know right here, so watch this space for updates.
