Arthur Blank, Sally Yates to receive Islamic Speakers Bureau awards

Arthur Blank, an Atlanta businessman and owner of the Atlanta Falcons, will receive the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta during the organization’s annual Change Makers Awards Gala on Nov. 4 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Also being honored is Mokhtar Bazaraa, a business executive and former professor, with a Lifetime Achievement Award; Bishop Robert. C. Wright, of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, with the Building Bridges Award; and Sally Q. Yates, the former acting U.S. attorney general, with the Courage Award. Yates is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Justice Department and formerly served as a federal prosecutor in Atlanta.

Blank is the co-founder of Home Depot. Other businesses include the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United.
