New England hosts Jacksonville in the AFC Championship Game this Sunday in Foxboro, Mass., but the Patriots will once again be without wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick confirmed on Wednesday that Mitchell will stay on the injured reserve list, per ProFootballTalk. Mitchell has been on injured reserved during the entire 2017 season, but the Patriots were hoping that he might get back to healthy during the playoffs.

Mitchell had been seen at practice leading up to the final game of the regular season, but has been sporadically practicing during the playoffs. In his rookie season in 2016, Mitchell made 32 reception for 401 yards and four touchdowns and was going to be one of the Patriots consistent threats in the passing game.

During his four years as a member of the Georgia Bulldogs, Mitchell caught 174 passes for 2,350 yards and 16 touchdowns.
