The calendar may still say it's summer, but fall is coming to DeKalb this weekend with Stone Mountain Park's Pumpkin Festival and Tucker's Oktoberfest celebration.

Stone Mountain Park's Pumpkin Festival has become an annual tradition for many families, with games, live shows and more. The park is adding a family-friendly Glow by Night Experience from dusk-9 p.m. featuring thousands of carved, lighted jack-o-lanterns.

Raise a stein and celebrate Oktoberfest with live polka music, German food, carnival rides, hot air balloon rides and more. If you'd like to go all out and wear your lederhosen or dirndl, you can enter a costume contest. Parking is very limited, so organizers suggest that guests use a ride-sharing app or take a shuttle leaving every 5-10 minutes from the Sam's Club parking lot, 1940 Mountain Industrial Blvd.

Webster will perform at Decatur's Concert on the Square, and their music is likely to appeal to a variety of ages and musical interests. Their show often includes covers of songs from REM, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Pfish and more.

Get your canine friend's help to make a doggy paw print keepsake on a mat board while using non-toxic paint, stencils, stamps, design tools and more. When you've finished your masterpiece, your dog can romp around inside the dog park, with water, dog treats and poop bags provided. If you're interested in going, you'll need to register online.
