More on Super Bowl 54:
Pop star Demi Lovato, fresh off her heart-wrenching Grammy performance, will be in the spotlight for her rendition of the national anthem. She shared the announcement in mid-January on Twitter and Instagram, where she told her 76 million fans “See you in Miami.” The Grammy performance and her Super Bowl appearance represent the first times the 27-year-old has sung live on television since she overdosed in 2018. The singer has slowly come back into the spotlight post that life-threatening experience.
At halftime, America will watch Jennifer Lopez and Shakira put on a show with help from some friends.
Lopez talked about her excitement around the Super Bowl performance recently.
“Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the halftime show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl," said Lopez. "And now it's made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th season but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”
