Winner: Best fried chicken in Atlanta | Best of Atlanta

Fried chicken is a Southern delicacy taken very seriously by anyone whose ever crunched into the perfect juicy bite.

That's why we asked (and you answered) which fried chicken spot reigns supreme in our Best of Atlanta poll last week.

Where can you get the best fried chicken in Atlanta served up with the most delicious sides in town?

Mary Mac's Tea Room is the No. 1 choice, declared by all of the Southern fried enthusiasts in Atlanta. This spot is famous for a reason, and that reason is fried chicken.

No one is too busy to eat at Busy Bee Cafe, because their fried chicken is apparently worthy of second place in a city of full of experts. Be sure to grab a side of seasonal cobbler and the creamy mac 'n cheese.

You can’t use the word famous unless it's truly tasty. Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken lives up to their promise, and then some. In fact, you love Gus's so much that they are opening a new location in Sandy Springs due to popular demand. Third place is tasting mighty fine.

If you have an insatiable appetite for fried chicken, then you'll thrive on eating your way around town at all of our official nominees: South City Kitchen Vinings (Cobb), Table & Main (North Fulton), Paschal's (Intown), The General Muir (DeKalb) and Corner Shop Cafe (Gwinnett).

Looking for other fried and tasty meals like mama used to make? These are Atlanta restaurants that offer the best soul food with all the fixings to go with it.

USA Today says this is metro Atlanta’s best fried chicken sandwich.

If you need a chicken fix every day, here's how to have 7 days of fried chicken.

What restaurant was previously named the fried chicken king? You'll have to eat it to believe it.
