THE BRAVES MIGHT be on the road this weekend, but local fans can still gather and watch the game with some of the same festivities you'd find at a home game. As Atlanta takes on the Blue Jays in Toronto in the second of a three-game series June 28, the first ever Game on the Green will broadcast the action on two huge outdoor screens in the Smyrna Market Village.
More than a viewing party, Game on the Green channels a Turner Field vibe with the Tomahawk Team pep squad and Heavy Hitters Drumline on hand to keep spirits high. Fans may test their baseball skills with inflatable games, enjoy ballpark-style food and drinks and be treated to giveaways throughout the day.
Before the game's 1:10 p.m. start, Mitch Evans and former Brave Mark Lemke will host the Braves Radio Network pre-game show live from the Smyrna location of Atkins Park Tavern.
