Menu spotlights southern Italy

The chefs at Pricci in Buckhead have saved you the skyrocketing cost of European travel by bringing the flavors of Puglia in southern Italy to Atlanta. May 28-30, head to the restaurant for a special dinner menu created by chefs from Buckhead and Puglia. Demonstrations of pasta- and cheese-making are also part of the festivities. • The same airfare-saving theory works at Rosa Mexicano, the restaurant in Atlantic Station that features a range of Mexican delicacies in its Dinner at Dusk event. An early evening menu features grilled salmon with tropical fruit mole, chicken enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce or steak tacos for $20.08. The prix-fixe selection is available from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Rosa is located at 245 18th St.; 404-347-4090;

• Admit it: You go for chocolate fondue. But there's more than dessert at the Melting Pot, 754 Peachtree St. in Midtown. The longtime favorite of folks who like to cook their selections right at the table, the Pot recently began offering a four-course Caribbean-inspired menu. The sweet and spicy lineup opens with a cheese fondue made with white wine, pineapple juice, Gouda and Gran Queso cheeses, and a tropical salad of mangoes, hearts of palm and coconut-crusted cashews. Main courses include meats and seafood with Caribbean rubs — vanilla rum chicken, peppered shrimp, lobster and jerk sirloin. And, yes, there's still chocolate at the end, this time in a bananas Foster fondue flambéed tableside. Hours are from 5 p.m. daily; 404-389-0099;
