The Dunwoody boys won the DeKalb County championship for the 10th straight year last week at Mystery Valley Golf Course. The Wildcats shot a 327 to score an easy win over Chamblee (363) and Lakeside (432).

Dunwoody’s Nick Trembath was medalist with a 79, giving him a three-shot win over teammate Jack Kardasha. The Wildcats got a pair of 83s from Patrik Cociaccio and Elijah Dwoskin, who tied for third. Arabia Mountain’s Torrence Allen finished fifth with an 84.

Lakeside won the girls title to snap Dunwoody’s four-year winning streak. The Vikings edged Chamblee by one shot.

Lakeside’s 191 included a 95 from Kaylee Cornelius and a 96 from Jayla Cornelius. Chamblee counted a 91 from medalist Tiffany Li and a 101 from Kristen Nwadike.

Boys

Area 1-A Public: Medalist Thad Clark shot 77 to help Schley County finish first. Hawkinsville and Seminole County also advanced to state.

Area 3-AA: Gordon Central won the area title behind medalist Isaac McEntyre, who shot a 76. Rockmart qualified and Model's Cody Boazman shot 79 and advanced as an individual.

Area 1-AAA: Hagan Marion shot 77 to lead Pike County to victory and become the only team to qualify. C.J. Clarkston of Jackson was medalist with a 76 and advanced as an individual.

Area 1-AAAAAA: Caleb Weese and Bobby Hrdicka shot 77s and lead Glynn Academy to a one-shot win over Houston County, which got a 74 from medalist Brent Hamm and a 78 from Hilton Beck. Richmond Hill used a 75 from Fred Roberts and a 79 from Ethan McDonald to place third, three shots behind Glynn. Coffee got a 77 from Will Spivey and a 78 from Hunter Moore to finish fourth and advance to state. Lee County's Brantley Baker and Valdosta's Braden Colbert shot 76s and moved on as individuals.

Area 4-AAAAAA: Creekview had four players shoot 76 or better and won the area title. Creekview got a 72 from Jack Vajda, a 74 from Tyler Latimore, a 75 from Landon Schultz and a 76 from Price Hollingsworth. Harrison, Dalton and Sequoyah also qualified. Lorenzo Elbert of Tri-Cities shot 70 to nab medalist honors.

Girls

Area 1-A Public: Seminole County used an 80 from medalist Macy Williams and claimed the team championship. Also advancing to state were Schley County and Miller County.

Area 3-AA: Pepperell, Gordon Central and Rockmart took the top three spots and earned a spot in the state tournament. Pepperell's Sydnie Edwards was medalist with a 93.

Area 4-AA: Sparked by Lily Johnson's 85, Elbert County captured the area championship. Rabun County and Oglethorpe County also qualified for state. Johnson was medalist.

Area 1-AAA: Rutland's Pyon sisters were good enough to stake the team to the area title. Carrol Pyon was medalist with a 74, with Eujin Pyon adding a 77 and Jenny Pyon shooting 78. Crisp County and Pike County also qualified for state.

Area 4-AAA: Aven Schrews shot 78 and led Bremen to first place. Calhoun got a 79 from Katie Calhoun and finished second. North Murray, Westminster, which counted a 78 from Ashley Jian, and Pace Academy, which counted a 76 from Aleks Golden, also qualified for state.

Area 2-AAAA: North Oconee's balanced attack, led by Elena Denny's 80, won the area title. Jefferson got a 78 from Caroline Martin and placed second. Madison County, Stephens County and St. Pius also earned a spot at state.

Area 1-AAAAAA: Six of the eight teams in the field advanced to state, with Valdosta coming out on top. The Wildcats were led by Padgett Chitty's 76 and beat Glynn Academy by three shots. Glynn got a 73 from medalist Taylor Palmer. Also moving on to the state meet were Glynn Academy, Effingham County, Richmond Hill, Houston County and Lee County.

Area 3-AAAAAA: Medalist Diane Liu shot 76 and Christyn Carr shot 79 to spark Northview to the championship, a six-shot win over Johns Creek. Alpharetta also qualified for state.

Area 4-AAAAAA: Medalist Katelyn Skiffen shot 81 and Destiny Hill shot 83 to help Dalton win the team title. Allatoona, behind Madison Parker's 82, finished second. Creekview, Northgate and Harrison also qualified.
