Where to eat

One of our favorite new spots for fried chicken is located in a hotel -- no joke. Parkwoods, the recently-opened restaurant in Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter.

Parkwoods. 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta. 678-822-9353, parkwoodsrestaurant.com.

Looking for another unlikely spot to get delicious fried chicken? This Atlanta gas station spot was named one of the best.

We're a little obsessed with the fried chicken from Kevin Gillespie's Decatur restaurant Revival — check out our review here, and order it for lunch or dinner.

129 Church St., Decatur. 470-225-6770revivaldecatur.com.

We asked readers to vote on their favorite fried chicken in Atlanta — and they said loud and clear that their favorite is from Mary Mac's Tea Room. The runner-ups are definitely worth a visit, too.

Mary Mac's Tea Room, 224 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta. 404-876-1800. www.marymacs.com.
