A California-based poke restaurant has opened its first metro Atlanta location.
LemonShark Poké's entry into the Georgia market is located in a 2,050 square-foot space in the ground floor at The Bishop, a new mixed-use development in Sandy Springs.
“Named after the Lemon Shark who only consumes the very best fish possible, LemonShark Poké prides itself on serving the finest quality ingredients to its guests,” according to a press release. In addition to traditional poké offerings, the menu includes appetizers such as tempura shrimp and egg rolls and a Hawaii Katsu menu that features entrées including chicken and Alaskan cod.
The Sandy Springs location also features an oyster bar and a beer wall which serves a variety of local craft beers.
LemonFish was started in 2016 by Tobi Miller, a founding member of the ‘90s rock group The Wallflowers and Richard Gottlieb, who was previously known as the driver of Big Red, a hot rod that has been featured in a variety of car enthusiast publications, according to LemonShark’s website. The restaurant started franchising in 2017 and has 14 locations in five states with 63 locations under development.
The Sandy Springs location is run by franchise owner D.J. Fuchs, who said he plans to open multiple LemonShark locations around metro Atlanta.
The Bishop also includes neighboring retail and approximately 400 apartments. Multifamily developer and investment firm Pollack Shores owns the development.
LemonShark will be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
