Alexander Memorial Coliseum was back in business Saturday, when the roof did not leak, yet Georgia Tech's 87-79 overtime win over Wake Forest was bizarre.
Senior Anthony Morrow scored 22 points. The only other time he scored 20 more more in the past 25 games? When he scored 23 in the Yellow Jackets' last victory, Feb. 6 at Wake.

Senior Jeremis Smith flew out of bounds a couple of times. Normal. He left injured twice, and Zack Peacock took free throws for him each time. Not normal.
Smith's known to go flying, although he doesn't usually take a cameraman's knee in the back in the process. That cost him a few minutes, but he returned, and after Tech snapped a five-game losing streak, he laughed.
"We got to get some more athletic camera guys; they got to know how to get out of the way," Smith said after his fifth double-double (16 points, 13 rebounds). "And [when he landed on the floor behind the scorer's table late in the game], a lady said, 'Oh Lord, dear, you don't have to do that; the game's almost over.' "
She was wrong; after losing a 13-point second-half lead, Tech (12-15, 5-8 ACC) needed everything.
As for abnormalities, Tech made a season-high 30 free throws as the Jackets went to the line more than an opponent (a season-high 44 times to Wake's 32) for the first time in six games — or since playing at Wake.
There was no water on the court, as when Tech's Feb. 21 game against Virginia was postponed, but there was plenty that was odd as Tech survived a career-high 28 points and 12 rebounds by Wake 7-foot sophomore center Chas McFarland.
Reserve point guard Matt Causey was in street clothes, held out for precautionary reasons after sustaining a concussion Wednesday at Duke.
In his absence, Morrow (40), point guard Moe Miller (37) and guard D'Andre Bell (34) played career highs in minutes. Plus, every starter grabbed at least five rebounds as Tech outrebounded Wake 49-39.
Each contributed something you don't see every game.
Gani Lawal was called for a deadball foul as Morrow shot a first-half free throw, and he had an assist, just his eighth. Smith played kamikaze. OK, that's normal, but his three straight made jumpers weren't.
Miller and Bell made early assists while flat on their bellies with Wake players harassing them. Morrow blocked a shot.
The Deacons (16-11, 6-8) have two of the ACC's top freshmen, but guard Jeff Teague did not start (he still scored 20). And forward James Johnson, Wake's top scorer and rebounder, played four minutes in the first half because of fouls. He scored four after scoring 21 or more in four of the previous five games.
Tech went up 54-41 on Morrow's 3-pointer, and Wake countered with a 15-4 run.
Teague made a 3-pointer to pull the Deacons to 71-70 with 2:05 left in regulation, and his runner tied the game at 72 with 43 seconds left.
In between, Peacock hit the deck and left with back spasms.
With Tech leading 78-74 in overtime, Smith was injured again, and Peacock replaced him once more at the free-throw line, making one.
First, he took a big ice bag off his back.
Finally, Teague scored with 1:02 left to cut Tech's lead to 80-76 only to foul out as Smith drew a charge on the play.
In overtime, the Jackets made nine of 14 free throws, Wake one of five.
