ATHENS -- Georgia guard Chris Burnette was named the SEC's offensive lineman of the week.
The senior from La Grange graded out at 82 percent with six dominator blocks and four knockdowns during the Bulldogs' 34-31 overtime win at Tennessee. Burnette has anchored an offense that has generated at least 34 points and 400 yards in all five games this season. Georgia's offensive line has allowed only one sack in the last three games, including a win over No. 6 LSU and helped protect quarterback Aaron Murray during his game-tying drive on Saturday in the final minute of regulation and on the game-winning drive in overtime.
Burnette talked to reporters after Monday's practice about the offense having to pick up and move in the week of multiple serious injuries to skill-position players.
