Man of God questions Tim Tebow's manhood oh it's on now

It's Tim Tebow vs. Robert Jeffress in an epic power struggle of piousness.

Do Tebow's Christian fans back their hero or the prominent pastor who is challenging his manhood?

Tebow backed out of an appearance at the First Baptist Church of Dallas after he learned “new information” about pastor Jeffress' past controversial remarks about Muslims, Catholics, Jews and homosexuals.

Jeffress addressed the issue in his sermon last Sunday. The remarks, highlighted by USA Today, are included in a YouTube video uploaded by the church that's titled: “Dr. Jeffress Responds to Tebow Controversy.” (The remarks begin at about 7:30 on the video).

“I am grateful . . . I am grateful for men of God like these who are willing to stand up and act like men rather than wimping out when it gets a little controversial and an inconvenient thing to stand for the truth,” Jeffress said to applause from his congregation. “God bless men like that.

“There are some people who would say, 'Well, God's given me a different ministry. God has called me to go out and preach the love of God. That's what I am called to do. I am not called to preach about sin and talk about controversial things. I have been called to preach about the love of God.'

“And they are sincere when they say that. But they are sincerely wrong. The fact is you cannot talk about the love of God, the love of God has no meaning whatsoever, unless you understand the judgment of God that all of us deserve.”

Tebow has yet to say anything publicly about the canceled appearance beyond the statement he posted to his Twitter account last week. In that statment Tebow said he wants to use his fame to advance the ideas of "Faith, Hope and Love" but, as you can see, Jeffress is Old Testament old school.

As much as The Hater would like to see Tebow fire back at the pastor, if only for some fun prophet-on-prophet mudslinging, there's not much percentage in it for Tebow. He has to keep his Tebow-and-God-loving demographic happy while he waits to find more work as a third-string quarterback.
