Georgia Tech target hints at finalists

One of the state’s top multi-purpose athletes told the AJC that Georgia Tech will make his list of finalists.

Myles Autry is a 5-foot-9, 175-pound senior from Norcross High School who plays both wide receiver and running back.

Autry says he has narrowed down to seven schools: Ohio State, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and Oregon.

His next step will be to trim his list to five colleges. Which schools will make the cut? Autry said Georgia Tech, along with Florida State, Ohio State and Oregon.

Recruiting has slowed down for Autry because many colleges want to evaluate his senior film.

Autry had major knee reconstructive knee surgery last winter. He has been medically cleared to play this year and is expected to be up to full speed within the next month.

Autry is the younger brother of Georgia Tech wide receiver Anthony Autry, and their mother wants the boys to play together in college.

The younger Autry says he will likely make his college decision on February’s signing day.

Autry talks in-depth about recruiting in the above video.

Dogs have resolve but they’re running out of bodies

If nothing else, Georgia has ensured at least one thing about its season. Regardless of where the rest of the schedule takes them, whether its to an SEC championship, a BCS bowl bid or a national title, there will be no claims from outsiders that this team received too many breaks and escaped health issues, no suggestions that the road to success was lined with lollipops and unicorns.

A better Georgia Tech yields only an emphatic loss

Georgia Tech got the start it wanted and, at least for a little while, ran the option the way Paul Johnson wants it run.
