Georgia Tech flips Temple LB commit at last minute

Georgia Tech did some flipping of its own on Sunday.

The Yellow Jackets made a last-minute scholarship offer to linebacker Paul Davis, who had committed to Temple earlier this week.

On Sunday, the 5-foot-10, 200-pounder rushed to Georgia Tech for an official visit and committed around 2 p.m.

“It’s an ACC school, it’s in my home state, and my friends and family can come see me play,” Davis told the AJC. “You know, it’s a good school with good academics. It’s in a good town where you can make a lot of connections.”

Davis called Georgia Tech his “dream offer” and he said that Yellow Jackets coach Paul Johnson will give him looks at several positions, including safety, linebacker and running back.

It was big news for Georgia Tech, which had two commits (DB Tolando Cleveland and RB Brendan Douglas) flip to SEC schools last week.
