By Michael Carvell

Lorenzo Carter is the state’s No. 1 overall college football prospect for 2014.

The 5-star defensive end from Norcross High School recently narrowed down his list of college to seven colleges in a story you can READ HERE. He also hopes to get down to five in the near future.

Carter has already said that Florida, UGA and Alabama will make the final cut. The Gators are his leader, followed by UGA and then Alabama – although that could change.

  • What does Carter like about UGA?
  • Where will Carter go on unofficial visits this fall? UGA and Alabama fans will find this interesting.
  • And how about a “hint” on where he will sign?

It’s hard to find a more likeable kid than Carter, who answered those questions and more in the above video.

Dogs have resolve but they’re running out of bodies

If nothing else, Georgia has ensured at least one thing about its season. Regardless of where the rest of the schedule takes them, whether its to an SEC championship, a BCS bowl bid or a national title, there will be no claims from outsiders that this team received too many breaks and escaped health issues, no suggestions that the road to success was lined with lollipops and unicorns.

A better Georgia Tech yields only an emphatic loss

Georgia Tech got the start it wanted and, at least for a little while, ran the option the way Paul Johnson wants it run.
