Hyundai Dymos, a company that will make seats for Kia vehicles, is looking to hire for 200 management and production jobs at a plant in West Point.
The state Department of Labor said it is trying to help the company recruit for a plant that is currently under construction and is expected to open this summer.
The first recruitment will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Point Technology Training Center, 1122 O.G. Skinner Dr. in West Point, about 80 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. Recruiting will continue over the coming months.
The jobs include plant, finance, quality, sales, and purchasing managers and supervisors. Other positions include engineer/maintenance supervisor, production supervisors, and a human resource specialist. The company is also recruiting production team leaders and associates to work on an assembly line.
Hyundai Dymos, which also builds transmissions and axles, announced last September it would open a $35 million factory in July. The auto parts supplier is building the plant near the Kia Motors factory in west Georgia.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience working on an assembly line or in a manufacturing facility. They must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
