Here we go.

The Hawks 2013-14 season gets underway today with media day at Philips Arena starting at 3 p.m. Coach Mike Budenholzer and all 20 players on the training camp roster will be available. I spoke to all seven of the new roster additions throughout the offseason but let me know if there is something you want me to ask today and I will try to accommodate.

Practices begin Tuesday with a three-day stint in Athens. There will be the open scrimmage at Philips Arena on Saturday. The preseason schedule begins next Monday in Miami against the Heat.

A few things to watch during training camp:

1. There will one, maybe two, roster spots up for grabs.

2. We'll get a better idea on when Lou Williams will be available as he returns from a torn ACL. That could affect who makes the opening-day roster.

3. How long will it take for Budenholzer to install his new system and get a new roster to play together effectively?

4. Minutes for big men up available. After Al Horford and Paul Millsap, Elton Brand, Pero Antic, Gustavo Ayon and Mike Scott will battle for frontcourt time.

5. Who will start? Budenholzer likes to use a regular starting lineup and will use training camp and exhibition games to determine the first five. He also plans to use a deep bench and he will use the next month to help sort out his rotation.

Let me know what you want to know.
