Mock 3.0: Falcons to select TE Zach Ertz

If the Falcons stay at 30, look for Stanford tight end Zach Ertz to be the pick. They have needs at cornerback, defensive end and right guard, but the draft is deep in defensive talent. Desmond Trufant is the cornerback to keep an eye on, but he’s going to Minnesota at 25.

Eddie Lacy, 5-foot-11, 231 pounds, Alabama (Projection: first round): He rushed for 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns last season for the Crimson Tide. He did not participate in workouts at the NFL scouting combine while recovering from a hamstring injury. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds at his Pro Day and some analysts are projecting that he’s not fast enough for the NFL.
