SHAWN WILLIAMS, SS, UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA

AGENT: Rich Rosa

OFFICIAL MEASUREMENTS: Ht: 5-11, Wt: 213

Q: Is there anybody that you like to watch in the NFL at your position?

A: Yes, Ed Reed, Cam Chancellor and William Moore. I like watching those guys.

Q: What’s the combine been like for you so far?

A: It’s been a great experience. I’m just taking it all in. I’m trying to get better. I came to compete with some of the best and that’s what I’m here for.

Q: Has it been helpful to have so many teammates here at the combine with you?

A: It’s been great having all of those great guys here with me. They all came to compete. That’s what we’re here to do.

Q: How would you sum up your career at Georgia?

A: I had a great career at Georgia. I kind of had some adversity in the beginning, but we fought through it and we won a lot of games with the coaches that we had. I thought I had a great career.

Q: How do you project to the NFL? Free or Strong?

A: I really don’t have a preference. I will do whatever they ask me to do to help the team.

Q: Essentially, was that a pro defense that you played on at Georgia?

A: Yes. I felt that we were a pro defense. With (defensive coordinator) Todd Grantham and all of those guys that we had like Jarvis Jones and Alec Ogletree. We had the best coaches and the best players.

Q: Did you guys feed off each other?

A: We kind of fed off of each other so that we could make each other better. We just pushed to make each other better so that we all could reach the next level.

Q: Lots of different workouts at Georgia, how did that help you out?

A: It helped guys in different ways. The MMA training  helped the linebackers with their hand placement a lot. It also helped the DBs because you have to be able to move your feet and be quick. That kind of helped us too.

Q:  What was one of the craziest things that they had you guys doing?

A: I can’t think of anything right now.

Q: How would you describe your game, if you would spell it out?

A: I don’t know. I just come to play ball and hopefully at the end of the day, I just want to win. I’ll do whatever I have to do, to do that.

Q: Did you regret speaking about the defensive’s play last season?

A: I just felt like we weren’t playing up to our potential. I felt like we were the best athletes. We just had a bunch of great guys, but we weren’t living up to our potential. I felt like we could give more and that’s what we wanted to do.

Q: Describe your leadership skills?

A: I try to lead by example at first and then there is point when it crosses into the vocal part and I’ll do that as well.

Q: Where are working out at?

A: In Pensacola, Florida.
