Keep Track of Circulars

Check last Sunday’s newspaper to be sure that you got the March 3 Procter & Gamble coupon circular with more than $113 in coupons. You can combine those with sales and promotions at many stores to stock up on bargains. Also, check your March 3 SmartSource circular for a “buy one, get one free” coupon for a beverage at Caribou coffee and treat a friend to coffee. And find coupons for Steak ’n Shake in the same circular, including one for a “buy one, get one free” classic milk shake (regular size).

CVS

Kellogg’s, Pop Tarts: CVS has selected Kellogg’s cereals (8.7- to 13.7-ounce boxes), Rice Krispies Treats and Pop Tarts (eight count) on sale for $2 each. Scan your CVS card at the red Coupon Center to get a store coupon for $1 off two to pay $1.50 each. You’ll find $1-off-three coupons in the March 3 RedPlum circular so you’ll pay $1.33 each if you buy three boxes and use both coupons. There is a $1-off-two coupon in the RedPlum circular for the new Pop Tarts Oatmeal Delights variety, so if CVS carries it, you’ll be able to get two of these items for $1 each by using both coupons.

Jelly beans: CVS has Gold Emblem jelly beans (7-ounce bags) on sale for 99 cents. You will get a 99-cent Extrabucks reward, so your net cost will be free.

KMART

P & G Promotion: Kmart has a promotion that gives members a coupon for $10 off a future purchase when you spend $30 or more on Procter & Gamble products, which essentially gives you another 33 percent off sale prices. The price before the coupon counts toward the spending goal. For example, Cover Girl cosmetics are “buy one, get one 50 percent off.” You can use two of the $1 Cover Girl product coupons in the March 3 Procter and Gamble circular to save more. Other coupons include $3 off CoverGirl LashBlast mascara and $2 off Cover Girl Blast Eye Shadow or Eye Liner. Prices vary by item.

Reese’s, Nabisco: Kmart has a promotion that gives you $5 off instantly when you buy $15 of selected Reese’s and Nabisco products. Nabisco Ritz crackers or Chips Ahoy cookies are on sale for $2 each. You could buy eight packages and use four of the coupons for 75 cents off two from the Jan. 27 SmartSource circular. Before savings, your cost would be $16 so you’ll get the $5 off as well as $3 for the coupons. Your final cost will be $8, or $1 per package. If your Kmart doubles coupons up to $1, your cost will be $4 or 50 cents per package. See store for coupon doubling policy details.
