Publix
Barbecue sauce, bakery items, coffee: Look for the Publix coupon circular that says “Summer Savings” on the cover at your store. Garland Jack’s barbecue sauce is on sale for $1 each. Use the $1-off-two coupon from the May 12 SmartSource circular to pay 50 cents per bottle. Also find a store coupon for $2 off any Publix bakery item when you buy one 12-ounce bag of Starbucks ground coffee. Use two store coupons and the $2-off-two manufacturers coupon from the same May 12 Smartsource circular to save a total of $6 on two bags of coffee and two bakery items. Since the coupon says “any bakery item,” you may be able to find one that costs close to $2 to get it free.
Walgreens
Eggs, cereal, Pop Tarts: Walgreens has one dozen Grade A large eggs on sale for 99 cents, limit three. Also get selected Kellogg’s cereals (8.7 to 13.7 ounce) on sale for $1.77. Use the $1-off-three coupon from the June 2 RedPlum circular to pay $1.44 per box. Kellogg’s Pop Tarts (eight count) are on sale for $1.77. Use the $1-off-three coupon from the May 19 RedPlum to pay $1.44 per box.
Pantene: Walgreens has a promotion that gives you 5,000 Balance Rewards points (worth $5) when you spend $20 or more on selected Procter & Gamble items. Combine sale prices with coupons to get stock-up prices. For example, Pantene shampoo or conditioner (12.6 ounce) is on sale for $3 each when you buy two. If you got six bottles and used three coupons, you would pay $9 at the register but your pre-coupon price of $18 would be credited toward the $20 spending goal. Add the Charmin bath tissue (six rolls) at $3.49 to bring your total to $21.49. Use three coupons for $3 off two Pantene products and one coupon for 25 cents off one Charmin product from the June 2 Procter & Gamble circular to pay $15.24 at the register. Your net cost after taking the $5 in Balance Rewards into account would be $10.24, a savings of 65 percent off the regular price. You also can buy other sale-priced items with coupons to reach the $20 goal, such as Tide, Gillette disposable razors, Bounty paper towels and Duracell batteries.
Sundown, Natrol: Walgreens has Sundown Fish Oil (60 count) on sale for $7. You will get a $7 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be free. Natrol Time Release Melatonin (200 count) is on sale for $4. You will get a $4 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be free.
Crest: Walgreens has Crest premium toothpastes 3D White (4 ounce) or Pro Health (6 ounce) on sale for $2.99. Use the 50-cent coupon from the June 2 P&G circular to pay $2.49 at the register. You will get a $2 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be 49 cents.
Colgate Total Mouthwash: Walgreens has Colgate Total mouthwash on sale for $4.99. Use the $2 coupon from the June 2 SmartSource circular to pay $2.99 at the register. You will get a $2 Register Rewards coupon, so your net cost will be 99 cents, or 80 percent off. (Rite Aid also has Colgate Total mouthwash on sale for $4.99, so you would pay $2.99 after using the $2 coupon. You’ll get a $2 +UP Reward, so your net cost also would be 99 cents each.)
