Coupon Mom: Back-to-school bonanza

Back-to-school supplies are on sale now at rock-bottom prices so stock up on school and office supplies for the year.

Walgreens

Backpacks, paper, pencils: Walgreens has backpacks or bags on sale for $2.99 each. Pick up an extra one or more to donate to a local charity’s backpack drive. Walgreens also has several items on sale for 69 cents each, including composition books, plastic supply boxes, 20 packs of No. 2 pencils and Sharpie single markers. Two-pocket folders with prongs are 17 cents each. Crayola markers, crayons and colored pencils are 99 cents each and several varieties of binders and folders are “buy one, get one free.” Use in-ad store coupons to get 100-count index cards for 29 cents, 4-ounce school glue or large glue sticks for 39 cents each, or highlighters and erasers for 25 cents each.

Rite Aid

Notebooks, crayons, glue: Rite Aid has several items for 47 cents each, including composition books, 70-page spiral notebooks, eight-count Crayola crayons, page dividers, book covers, pencil pouches and more. Rite Aid also has 97-cent items including Playskool 10-count crayons, Elmer’s glue, Bic Wite Out, Pentel pens (three count) and more.

Kmart

Crayons, colored pencils, watercolors: Kmart has Crayola crayons (24 count) on sale for 49 cents. Also, get Crayola colored pencils (24 count) for $1.99, Crayola markers (10 count) for $1.49 and Crayola watercolor paints (eight count) for $1.49. The Member Deal of the Week is the two-pocket folder with prongs for 10 cents each.

Office max

Protractors, compasses, pencils, pens: OfficeMax has protractors and compasses on sale for 5 cents each (limit three each; additional items cost $1 each). Stock up on 50-cent items including composition books, 10-count markers, 4-ounce school glue with two glue sticks, Bic ballpoint pens (10 count) and Papermate mechanical pencils (10 count). Each item has a limit of three or five with higher pricing for larger quantities. Also, get the OfficeMax weekly Penny Deal. This week you can get OfficeMax filler paper (100 sheets, regularly $1) and 100-count index cards (regularly 50 cents). Limit five of each item at a penny each with minimum purchase of $5. Check the Office Max weekly ad from last Sunday’s AJC for a $5 store coupon when you purchase $25 or more in office and school supplies.
