Go to www.kroger.com/freefridaydownload to get a coupon for a free two-liter bottle of 7-UP Ten, A&W Ten, Dr. Pepper Ten, or Canada Dry Ten on between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Friday. You can redeem this free coupon any time before Sept. 7.

Quilted Northern tissue, Doritos: Kroger’s weekly ad now features special deals combining sale prices with either Kroger digital coupons that you download at Kroger.com to your store card, or you can use the store coupon from the store ad instead of the digital coupon. If you use the store coupon for the item and there also is a coupon from the AJC, you can combine both coupons on the same item for big savings. For example, Quilted Northern bath tissue (12 double-rolls packages) are on sale for $5.99. Use the $1 Kroger store coupon in the ad with the 45-cent coupon from the Aug. 11 RedPlum which will be worth 90 cents when doubled. Your final cost will be $4.09, which is a stock-up price for this item. Doritos (10- to 11.5-ounce bags) are on sale for $2.50. Use the $1 Kroger store coupon to pay $1.50 per bag. Coca-Cola: CVS has Coke 2-liter bottles on sale for 99 cents each. Scan your Extracare card at the red Coupon Center to get a 25-cent store coupon and get the Coke for 74 cents.

Candy bars, bags: CVS has Reese’s, Hershey’s Kisses or Kit Kat snack-size bars (10.5- to 15-ounce bags) on sale three for $8 ($2.67 each). When you spend $15 on these items, you will get a $3 Extra Bucks reward. Buy six bags for $16 and use two of the $2-off-three coupons from the Aug. 18 coupon circular to pay $12 at the register. After the $3 Extrabucks coupon, your net cost will be $9 for six bags, or $1.50 per bag.

Milk: CVS has milk gallons on sale for $3.79 each. You will get a $1 Extrabucks reward so your net cost will be $2.79 each.
