TechBridge Wins Google Grant

By Rick Hancock

Good news for a do-good tech organization here in Atlanta!

TechBridge, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits make sense out technology just received a Google Community Grant of $50,000.
According to a TechBridge news release:

"The Google Community Grant will be used to fund a ‘Cloud Advisor’ on the TechBridge staff. The Cloud Advisor will be dedicated to:

  • assessing nonprofits’ feasibility of moving to the cloud;
  • developing migration plans;
  • performing cloud migrations; and
  • providing an avenue for post-implementation support.

“TechBridge is thrilled to work with Google in creating awareness among nonprofits of the benefits of moving to the cloud and leveraging donated technologies,” said James Franklin, CEO of TechBridge.  “This generous grant from Google will enable TechBridge to provide the expertise and support needed to overcome the complexity that often prevents nonprofits from having business-class technologies like these.”
