I don’t know about you, but with the weather this nice today, there’s a run in the near future. Or, well, when I wrap up with work.
And I’ve signed up for a 5K race next weekend just to stay focused and on target for the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
There are plenty of opportunities to participate in a 5k or 10K before the big July 4th event, and it may give you a chance to see what it’s like to be out there with hundreds – or thousands of people – before the AJCPRR.
Veteran AJC Peachtree’ers will likely tell you that because of its size and fanfare, the Peachtree is quite different than your neighborhood weekend 10K. Regardless it might be worth getting up early one Saturday or Sunday to wind through a neighborhood with other runners and get a feel for what it’s like to cross that finish line if you’ve never done so.
Looks like we’ve got good weather on tap for the long weekend – enjoy a good run or two, everybody.
