Now, remember, the weekend before, I was out there in the rain, splashing through puddles. Sunday’s weather was gorgeous, so I couldn’t blame my lack of enthusiasm on that.
It just seemed so much easier to run errands instead – until I looked at my calendar and realized that the chance for any meaningful running time after work was slim. It’s just one of those busy weeks where running has to take a backseat for a couple of days.
So I put away the groceries, laced up my shoes and headed out the door. One mile in, I felt much better and kept going.
A day or two of rest is fine, but with the AJC Peachtree Road Race coming up in July, it’s time to get moving.
