Good morning, good morning, good morning. Happy “day before AJC Peachtree Road Race" day.

I’m including some Q&As from our AJCPRR Facebook page, but first, a “doughnut diversion,” of sorts:

A few weeks ago I asked where all of the AJC Peachtree parties were – not that I’d be going to any – but I know there are people who make a tradition not out of running in the AJC Peachtree but gathering to cheer on all of the participants.

That rings true for Margaret Anthony and Lee Echols, who host between 6-12 friends at their Buckhead residence earrrrrrrrrrly July 4^th.

Before the race starts, the group positions itself at the corner of Peachtree and Pharr roads with boxes – 12 – of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. 12 and 12 – that’s 144 doughnuts, folks, that they are going to be handing out to participants as they run, walk or shuffle by.

More than 150,000 spectators – including this Krispy Kreme crew – will align Peachtree and 10^th on July 4^th. I can’t tell you how important it is to have “fans” out in the crowd – to help cheer you on.

So thank you to everyone who is waking up early, along with the runners, to stand out there and support all of us.

1. Rain, rain, go away:

What is the procedure if there is any lightning in the area during the race? Can't wait to start, rain or shine!!

The event will be held rain or shine.

2. Number transfer system:

 I'm not able to attend the race and was going to transfer my number to a friend. Is it too late to do that?

 Unfortunately the transfer system closed May 31, but you have until July 31 to defer your entry to the 2014 event.  http://www.peachtreeroadrace.org/participant-information/deferred-entries

3. MARTA

Any ideas on which MARTA to take if I'm headed north from Macon?

Take the gold line north to the Lenox station.
