AJC Peachtree Road Race: what are you wearing?

By Kristi E. Swartz

So, what are you wearing Thursday? I haven’t thought about it either, to be frank. I typically have one or two special shirts for “race day,” ones that are important to me for one reason or another.

And, I confess … I bring out the fancy running socks, too.

One of the fun parts of the AJC Peachtree Road Race is the costumes. The red-white-and-blue gear; Lady Liberty; cartoon characters … the creativity out there is beyond fantastic.

Here’s a photo gallery from previous AJC Peachtrees.

Thursday will be here before you know it. Right now, the weather forecast looks to be a bit cloudy and mid-70s, but 1. I’m not a meteorologist and 2. the weather forecast could change between now and Thursday.

The humidity is just, well, ugh.

So, what now? A good night’s rest tonight, Tuesday night and of course, Wednesday night, will do wonders. And, it’s all about staying hydrated.  A lot of foods have high water content, too, which I think is pretty cool. Read more here, if you don't believe me.

Happy Monday, everybody.

  • A form of ID (driver's license, school ID, etc.)

For those unable to attend the Expo, a third party may pick up your race number. In order for the third party to pick up your race number, they must bring:

All participants, including minors, must show some form of I.D. to pick up their number--this may be a school I.D., immunization record, work I.D., utility bill, etc.

A better Georgia Tech yields only an emphatic loss

Georgia Tech got the start it wanted and, at least for a little while, ran the option the way Paul Johnson wants it run.
