Temperatures were 54 degrees in Atlanta, 49 in Blairsville and 47 in Griffin just after 8:45 p.m.

It will get even warmer this weekend for the holidays. According to the latest forecast, highs are expected to reach 57 degrees on Christmas Eve and 65 on Christmas Day.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Christmas Eve.
