Tomorrow: Partly cloudy. High: 51

Another rainy day is in sight as showers start to diminish Tuesday evening.

Showers and thunderstorms rolled into the metro area about 4 p.m. in metro Atlanta leading to a dramatic drop in temperatures, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Spotty showers started early in the afternoon from Rome to Calhoun and continued south, the news station reported.

And with wet weather comes lower temps.

Atlanta’s current temperature is 56 degrees, down from a high of 70 degrees, Channel 2 reported.

A cold front in the forecast means a major drop in temperatures Wednesday. The expected high is 51, according to Channel 2. There is also a 40 percent chance of rain.

From there, temps are expected to continue dropping. By Thursday, forecast lows are in the 30s, and Sunday they drop to the 20s, Channel 2 reported.

There is also a 20 percent chance of snow flurries Saturday.
