Freezing Rain, Heavy Snow Pound Midwest Region

Chicago will see a much drier, but colder day as we wrap up the workweek. Some slick spots are possible as the rain and snow from Thursday has frozen on roads and sidewalks. Behind Thursday’s storm system that brought Chicagoland a wintry mix of precipitation, including nearly ten inches of snow in parts of our northern counties, we can expect morning clouds to break and bring partly sunny skies in the afternoon.
