Israeli Army Raid Sparks Attack

Israeli soldiers raided the West Bank city of Jenin on Thursday sparking violent clashes with Palestinian residents. According to residents, the raid was intended to arrest a suspected Islamic Jihad member, the suspect escaped and the soldiers detained his brother. The presence of the army quickly brought a confrontation with the local residents, who threw stones at the soldiers and their vehicles. The Israeli forces countered the stones with rounds of tear gas.
