Gunfire Rings Out in Syrian Town
Gunfire is heard in the Syrian frontier town of Ras al-Ain, as rebel soldiers gather close to the Turkish border. Rebels have held a tentative hold over the town, which has been bombarded by forces loyal to the Syrian government. Since fighting erupted, refugees have poured across the border seeking safety in Turkey. On Saturday (November 24), many continued to flee, as Turkish soldiers kept watch from lookout posts.
