Ackermann Leaves Zurich After CFO Death

Another shock for corporate Switzerland. Josef Ackermann, Chairman of Zurich Insurance, has resigned after the apparent suicide of the firm's CFO Pierre Wauthier. The former Deutsche Bank CEO said in a statement Wauthier's family believed he shared some of the blame for his death. It's been a rocky ride for Zurich recently. Flooding in Europe and tornadoes in the US saw it post a 27 percent fall in second-quarter net profit due to natural disaster payouts.
