UGA at Georgia Dome next fall?
Deal in works for Tennessee-N.C. State in 2012 ‘Kickoff’ game

A deal is in the works for N.C. State and Tennessee to open the 2012 football season against each other in the “Chick-fil-A College Kickoff” in the Georgia Dome.
Atlanta Sports Council president Gary Stokan said Monday that no contract has been signed and declined further comment.
Meanwhile, the Sports Council continues to seek a matchup for the 2010 “College Kickoff” game. The organization has expressed interest in pairing Georgia against a wide range of possible opponents in 2010 or later.
UGA has one opening on its 2010 schedule but says that game must be played in Athens. If so, the only way for the Bulldogs to create room for a 2010 Georgia Dome nonconference game would be to move that year’s scheduled game at Colorado to another season.
Georgia athletics director Damon Evans has said he doesn’t expect that to happen, although “I never say never.”
