Ex-UGA star Beckham to begin season in AA

Former Georgia baseball star Gordon Beckham will start the season with the Birmingham Barons, the Chicago White Sox’s Double-A affiliate, according to the Birmingham News.

Beckham hit .270 with two homers and six RBIs during spring training. Beckham helped lead Georgia to the College World Series last year.
