What has Jim Harrick been up to since he was fired as Georgia’s men’s basketball coach after the 2003 season?

The Denver Nuggets hired Jim Harrick as a scout in September 2003. In June 2004, the American Basketball Association announced that Harrick had been hired to coach a Vancouver expansion team but it never happened. He continued scouting for the Nuggets until 2006 when he signed with another expansion team, the Bakersfield (Calif.) Jam of the NBA Development League.

The Jam went 19-31 in its first season. In December 2007 he resigned saying he was spending too much time away from his wife, children and grandchildren. He said the team’s then 3-15 record had nothing to do with his decision. He was seen in the stands at at least one UCLA basketball game last year. The Harricks live in southern California.
