Athens — By Monday evening, the clip of Knowshon Moreno’s vault over a Central Michigan safety had been viewed more than 60,000 times on YouTube.
And the Georgia tailback continued to get acclaim for Saturday’s 18-carry, 168-yards-rushing, three-touchdown performance, being named the SEC’s offensive player of the week Monday.

While Moreno the acrobatic runner dominates attention, Richt says the redshirt sophomore has improved noticeably from last season in two other areas.
“What he has improved on tremendously is his pass protection … and his confidence in catching the ball,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said.
CMU player’s blog on SEC passion
Central Michigan’s football players found the Southeastern Conference quite different from the Mid-American Conference — and not just on the field.
Chippewas backup quarterback — and journalism major — Brian Brunner writes a blog at NCAA.com, and in Monday’s installment he reflected on last week’s trip to Georgia:
“Ball game aside, the trip to Athens, Ga., was quite an experience. … The hilly campus was rife with tailgaters for over a mile along the bus route to the stadium. There was one scene so bizarre and frankly a bit frightening that offensive tackle Andrew Hartline nudged me and had me look out the window.
“Groups of people were tailgating in a cemetery. Welcome to SEC football.”
Etc.
Defensive tackle Kade Weston, who missed the first two games with a sprained knee, is expected to play Saturday. So is receiver Kenneth Harris (ankle). … Injured much of his high school senior season and red-shirted last year, tailback Caleb King scored his first touchdown in almost two years Saturday. “I was happy; it had been such a long time,” he said.
