Travelers arriving in Atlanta from Newark, N.J. can expect lengthy delays, especially if they're flying in the evening. Out of the top ten flights with the longest average delay, routes from Newark to Atlanta placed in four spots. Newark, in general, features frequent delays either going to Atlanta or coming from Atlanta.

Delta's flight #147 , departing the popular New York City-area airport at 6:05 p.m., held back travelers an average of one hour and twenty three minutes between Jan. 2009 and Sept. 2009.
