AirTran will add Nassau to its route map starting Dec. 17 with one daily nonstop flight from Atlanta.
Since not many budget travelers know about this new route (yet!), finding available sale seats around the year-end holidays is still fairly simple. There are a few days just after Christmas where the lowest-priced tickets are sold out. Other than those days, there are no blackout dates to avoid.
Book this low rate for trips you plan to finish on or before May 19, 2010. The $99 rate is currently valid seven days a week. That could likely change once service is under way.
AirTran has joined a host of other airlines that places a premium on key travel days. Expect to pay $10 more per ticket for travel on Dec. 26, 30; Jan. 2 and March 21.
